Dagestani police detain mayor of Makhachkala

The Mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov, has been detained by the police, RIA Novosti cites a source in the republic's law-enforcement agencies as saying.

Amirov's nephew has been arrested recently on charges of murder.
