Makhachkala's mayor accused of murder

The mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov, was detained today on charges of murder, spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Vladimir Markin said on Saturday.

Amirov is accused of murdering a member of the Investigative Committee. The crime allegedly took place in December 2011.

The official was taken to Moscow, Vladimir Markin informs.
