Crowd sets building on fire in Turkey’s Izmir

368 protesters supporting the protest on the Taksim Square in Istanbul were detained in Izmir yesterday, Governor of the Izmir Province Mustafa Toprak said.

They attacked 31 banks, 42 shops and cafes, set over 20 vehicles on fire, attempted to assault the building of the ruling party. The police stopped them, but the building was burned down.
