SOCAR to build new floating drilling platform

The Caspian Drilling Company (CDC), owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and Singapore's Keppel company signed an agreement today concerning the construction of a new floating drilling platform in the Caspian Sea.

According to the head of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, the construction will cost over $1 billion.
