Makhachkala's authorities demand house arrest for mayor Amirov

The authorities of the Dagestani capital of Makhachkala are demanding house arrest for the city's mayor, Said Amirov, who has been detained recently on charges of murder. Amirov is now awaiting trial in a remand facility in Moscow.

A court in Moscow has previously ordered a two month detention for Amirov.
