Foreign companies interested in Azerbaijani shale

ExxonMobil and TOTAL show interest in developing Azerbaijani shale, 1news.az cites Khoshbakht Yusifzade, Vice President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), at the Caspian Oil and Gas 2013 Conference.

Azerbaijan has about 50 shale deposits in Gobustan and Nizhnekuri Lowlands.

SOCAR and ConocoPhilips are making 2D exploration in the Greater Caucasus.
