Judoist from Dagestan wins bronze medal at World Cup

The Judo World Cup held in Romania brought the bronze medal to Russia, when an athlete from Dagestan, Haybula Magomedov, came third in the weight category up to 100 kg.

A finalist in the European Championship, Magomedov confidently qualified, defeating Moldovan and Italian athletes. In the quarterfinals he was unable to overcome the German Freya, but emerged victorious from a battle with the British sportsman Alkaraz, RIA Dagestan reports.
