US sees progress in Karabakh peace talks

The United States believes that some progress has been made in the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace talks over Nagorno-Karabakh, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar says.

The ambassador also stressed that the United States played an important role in the process and recalled the recent meeting of US Secretary of State John Kerry with the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers.

The US diplomat also said that his country wanted the status quo in the region to be changed.
