"On Saturday June 15, a rally will be organized in Ankara, in the Sincan district, and on Sunday, June 16, in Istanbul, in the district of Kazlıçeşme," the party’s spokeswoman is reported as saying by RIA Novosti.
According to her, the party leader and Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan periodically speaks to the people and responds to people's questions. "Back in the country (from an official tour of Africa), he has already spoken in Adana and Mersin," she noted.
At the same time, the spokeswoman reports that the upcoming meetings should not be construed as being directed solely at discussing the situation with the protest demonstrations that have been going on for two weeks in Turkey.
"We cannot say exactly what they will focus on, but all the current problems in the country are likely to be discussed." The party spokeswoman stressed that not only party supporters can take part in these meetings, but all those interested.
