Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses protesters of  enviroment massacre and vows to stand firm over the anti-government demonstrations, the Euronews TV channel reports on Tuesday.

“You can plant trees anytime, there are no obstacles to this. But acting as if there are is a way of trying to find an alternative to the ballot box, and this cannot succeed,” Erdogan is quoted as saying by the TV channel.

“Environmental sensibilities cannot be used to conceal this mentality or as an excuse for these illegal actions against a democratically elected government.”
