Into Europe instead of Russia or with Russia?
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe first East European Youth Forum is to take place in Moscow in spring 2011. Vestnik Kavkaza is an information sponsor of the project.
The topic of the first forum will be "Europe and Eurasia – a space for rivalry or cooperation?"
Political topics are:
• Building of a security space in Europe.
• Models of political systems in Europe and Eurasia: reliance on national traditions or import of values?
Economic topics:
• Benefits and risks of associative membership in the European Union.
• Is a common economic space necessary for Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan?
• Cooperation between the CIS countries: problems and prospects.
Social topics:
• Problems of mutual perception between the youth of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia.
• Development of a student exchange system in Eastern Europe.
The Forum’s goals are:
Development of regular dialogue platform for young experts (under 30) from the former Soviet Union countries and Eastern Europe.
Development of a joint concept of European integration processes.
Formation of proposals for leaders of countries participating in the forum.
Development of the grant system for young professionals and researchers.
Postgraduate and undergraduate students faculties of arts and social sciences of national universities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and other former Soviet and Eastern European countries are invited to participate in the Forum.
The Forum will be organized by the political club for the youth "Vector", Information and Analytical Centre of Moscow State University, Moscow Youth Section of Russian Politics Association and Russian School of Leadership of the Russian State University of Trade and Economics.
Russian State University for the Humanities is the main partner of the forum.
