Secretary of Georgian Supreme Justice Council elected

222 out of 224 judges attending the conference of judges have voted for Levan Murusidze as the new Secretary of the Supreme Justice Council of Georgia. 17 votes were nullified, making the final count of 205 votes, Trend reports.
Ilona Todua, Paata Silagadze, Georgy Shavliashvili and Tamar Alania were the other candidates for the position.
The Supreme Justice Council coordinates the justice system, appoints judges and carries out disciplinary sanctions against judges.
