Georgian sentenced to life for murdering actor in Greece

The Court of Appeal of Athens sentenced 34-year-old David Murtineli from Georgia for murdering actor Nikos Sergianopoulos in June 2008, RIA Novosti reports.

Judges gave 6 votes for his imprisonment, despite the fact that Murtineli had no past crime records. He was also sentenced to 10 months for theft of cash and a PC of the actor.

The actor was found dead with 21 stabs on June 4, 2008. The knife was found at the place of crime. The suspect was caught a month later.
