Armenia improves its democracy index, watchdog says

The International human rights association Freedom House has published its annual report devoted to 29 European countries experiencing periods of transition. The report says the general situation in these countries is changing for the worse.

Armenia, however, managed to improve its democracy index. The authors of the report welcome the country's new election law and the recent parliamentary elections.

5 more countries showed positive tendencies in the sphere of democracy and human rights.
