Germany stops talks on Turkey’s EU membership

Germany has blocked the next stage of talks on Turkey’s joining the EU, RIA Novosti reports.

The sides planned to have a session for technical issues of the process next week. The initiative needed unanimous approval, but Germany halted the process. In the light of upcoming parliamentary elections in Germany, the talks have low chances of renewal.
