Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reassured foreign investors about the prospects of the Turkish economy. According to him, there is no need to worry about their investments in Turkey, as the unrest in the country had no effect on the investment market.

On the contrary, Turkey expects an increase in foreign investments in the near future.

"We always appreciate foreign investment and the Turkish government will do everything necessary to ensure the security guarantees for investments in the country," he said.

Protests have continued in Turkey for three weeks. Turkey's opposition parties accuse the police of using excessive force against the protesters.

Earlier, the Turkish Interior Minister said that nearly 2.5 million people participated in protests in 79 Turkish provinces during the past three weeks.

Around 4000 received various injuries, and 4900 were detained by police.
