Iranian channels blocked in Europe

Europe’s Hotbird, Eutelsay, Intelsat and Australia’s Optus have blocked Iran’s Press TV, Spain’s Hispan TV, al-Alam, iFilm today, News Azerbaijan reports.

The Iranian Broadcasting Service was informed about the end of broadcasting on June 19, due to implementation of new US sanctions against Iran on July 1. The UK, France, Germany and Spain did the same.

Jose Manuel Toscano, Director General of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization asked Intelsat and the US to allow broadcasting of Iranian channels.
