Russian communists to impeach government

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation will set the issue of impeachment of the government at the lower chamber of parliament, RIA Novosti cites deputy chairman of the party Ivan Melnikov.

The official added that the impeachment initiative was provoked by the reform project to merge the Russian Academy of Sciences, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the Russian Academy of Agriculture under control of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Melnikov noted that the party had 92 MPs and needed only 90 votes to realize the initiative.
