Ingush senator Ivanov resigns

Russian senator from Ingushetia Nikita Ivanov’s has resigned, although he can stay in office until October 2013, Izvestia reports.
Ivanov was working at the presidential administration under supervision of Vladislav Surkov since early 2000s. He entered the pre-electoral list of the United Russia Party in September 2011, but his name was not included among candidates. He became the deputy head of the committee for defense and security of the Federation Council.
Spokesmen of Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov did not confirm information about the resignation.
