Former Dagestani leader says both regional and federal authorities are responsible for inter-ethnic peace

Former head of the Dagestani republic and incumbent deputy head of the Russian presidential staff Magomedsalam Magomedov says both regional and federal authorities are responsible for inter-ethnic peace.

The remarks were made at the 10th Russian congress of ethnologists and anthropologists.

The former Dagestani leader also stressed the role of education in the promotion of inter-ethnic tolerance.
