Chechnya asks for microblog "Kavkaz-Center" to be recognized as extremist

The Chechen prosecutor's office has asked the court to recognize the microblog of the website "Kavkaz-Center" as extremist, the website of the department claims.

"The prosecutor's office addressed the appropriate application to the Zavodskoy district court of Grozny. The basis of the appeal was the discovery of the microblog "Kavkaz-Center" registered on the Internet network Twitter", Gazeta.ru quotes the statement. 

According to the prosecutors, the microblogging is used "for the dissemination of extremist and terrorist information."

In September last year, the Nikulinskiy District Court of Moscow already found the website "Kavkaz-Center" to be extremist.
