Avalanche threat in Kabardino-Balkaria

The Emergencies Ministry in Russia's Kabardino-Balkaria warned on Tuesday about an increased threat of avalanches in three mountain regions of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.

The ministry said that the increased threat is due to abnormally high temperatures.

The main threats are in the river basins of the rivers Gerkhozhansu, Adyrsu, Adylsu and Azau in the Elbrus region, the rivers Bulungusu in the Chegem region and rivers Cherek, Bezengiyskiy and Dumala in the  Cherek region.
