Vladimir Puchkov: Consequences of train crash in Kuban have been eliminated

The Minister for Emergency Situations, Vladimir Puchkov, has reported to Vladimir Putin on the situation related to the train wreck in Krasnodar Territory.

"The disaster that happened on the railroad last night has been completely overcome. Rail traffic is restored. Everybody who was in the train has had help, 618 people have already been transported to their homes. Out of 15 people who were in treatment, 12 people have already been discharged, three people are still in hospital, they are being given all necessary assistance," Puchkov said.

As previously reported, a passenger train carrying 618 passengers crashed on Sunday evening, five carriages were overturned.

A criminal investigation has been initiated.
