Sanctions hit Russian aeroplane deal with Iran

A deal between a Russia company and Iran on the sale of TU-204 SM planes to the Islamic Republic has fallen victim to US sanctions.

The planes use US technology and the recent sanctions imposed by the White House forbid the sale of an American technology to Iran, the BBC said.
The head of Ilyushin Finance Co. said the company intends to offer Iran the planes with substitutions for the US technology.
