Suspect detained over Ahmadinejad assassination attempt

A suspect has been detained in connection with an attempt on the life of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Al Arabiya said.

The TV channel said the suspect was arrested shortly after a hand grenade was thrown at the presidential convoy as it headed to the city of Hamedan in western Iran.

The bomb hit a bus carrying journalists. There is as yet no exact information on casualties.
