Georgian president’s dismissal of prosecutor general declined

Georgian Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani has responded to President Mikheil Saakashvili’s initiative to dismiss Prosecutor General Archil Kbilashvili with a refusal, Trend reports.

The minister demanded respect for the prosecutor in order to strengthen independence of the judicial system.

Saakashvili demanded dismissal of Kbilashvili for releasing Vladimir Berukadze, author of the video about tortures at the Gldani Prison N8.
