Tehran and Minsk open direct air link

An Iranian plane from Tehran made the first direct flight to Minsk airport, opening a direct air link between Iran and Belarus, Iran news reports.

A spokesman of the Belarus aviation company said that low ticket prices will allow passengers of the Belarus aviation company to fly to Europe as well.

The economic advisor of the Iranian embassy in Belarus, Bakeri, said that this will increase the number of visits of scientific and commercial delegations and tourists.

The time needed to fly from Minsk to Tehran has been reduced from 9 hours to only 4.
