EU lawmakers call on Georgian authorities to improve Merabishvili's conditions

Four members of the EU parliamentary committee for defense and security have visited the former official in prison and made an official statement. According to the lawmakers, Merabishvili's access to information has been limited and he has no chance to meet with members of his family.
One of the lawmakers has also said that the arrest had been politically motivated.
