Medvedev’s visit to Armenia important step – Bagdasaryan

The upcoming visit of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Armenia will be “an important stage” in Russian-Armenian relations, said Artur Bagdasaryan, Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council, in an interview for Public Television, reports ITAR-TASS. The visit will provide new possibilities for wider cooperation with Russia, in particular, in the sphere of security, Bagdasaryan said. Russia will supply an Armenian military base with ammunition and military hardware, under the terms of the state program that is now being discussed. This proves that a dialogue in the sphere of military and technology cooperation exists, Bagdasaryan added.
