Some 15 hectares of forest are burning near the Atskuri village in the Georgian region of Akhaltsikhe near the Turkish border. The regional Fire Department’s press office says there is no danger to the village, but putting out the fire is difficult because fire engines cannot reach it, reports ITAR-TASS. All regional fire teams, locals and aircraft are involved in fighting the fire, which was caused by last week's hot weather.
