Secretary General of Council of Europe to visit Azerbaijan

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjorn Jagland, will arrive in Azerbaijan in September, APA reports.

The main goal of the visit is participation in the international conference on problems of European youth.

Jagland will meet the authorities of Azerbaijan, representatives of non-governmental organizations and will discuss issues of democracy and reforms in the country, as well as the preparations for parliamentary elections in November.
