Turkish police detain 17 during protest at Istanbul's Gezi Park

Turkish police detained seventeen people during a fresh protest in Istanbul’s Gezi Park on Tuesday, including a German citizen, Hürriyet Daily News cites the Anadolu agency as saying.

A group of protesters began lying down on the ground in the park, which prompted police forces to sweep the park and detain them, the news agency reports.

German citizen Klaus Müller was detained among other protesters.
