New Iranian president will reconsider Ahmadinejad's policies

The newly-elected Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will reconsider the policies of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president-elect's aide Akbar Torkan says. He also called upon President Ahmadinejad to abstain from making decisions while he is still in office that would obstruct the activities of the new administration.

Moderate candidate Hassan Rouhani  was elected president on June 14th. He is expected to be sworn in as the head of state on August 3.
