Islamist candidate elected Pakistani president

Candidate from the ruling Muslim League party Mamnun Hussein has been elected by the members of the Pakistani parliament as the new preisdent of Pakistan, Lenta.ru reports.

Incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari will leave his office on September 8th.
