Russian Christians collect $1.3 million for Syria

The Russian Orthodox Church has collected $1.3 million for Syria, Trend cites Vasily Rulinsky, head of the charity and social service section of the Synod.

Russian Patriarch Kirill urged Christians to collect aid for Syria in late June. The funds will be granted to Patriarch John X of Antioch, Syrian Supreme Mufti Ahmad Badr-ed-Din Hassun.
