Iranian media misinterpreted Rouhani's remarks

Iranian news agency ISNA has misinterpreted the remarks of President-elect Hassan Rouhani. The media outlet reported earlier that Rouhani called Israel an "old wound" of the Islamic world that should be removed.

In fact Rouhani was reffering to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict rather than to Israel itself, The Guardian reports.
