Fuel truck explodes due to an accident in Stavropol region

In Stavropol Territory on the road between Aleksandrovskoe and Budennovsk at around 18:00 a "VAZ-2114" automobile did not give way to a fuel truck and crashed into it at full speed, resulting in the fuel truck overturning.

All four men in the car died. The fuel truck that overturned exploded because of the spilled fuel, and there was not enough time to save the driver, RIA Novosti reported with reference to local police.

"At around 19:30, despite the attempts of the rescue team to eliminate spilled fuel, it caught fire, after which the truck exploded along with the driver trapped there. We did not have time to save him," the representative of the traffic police said.

A security cordon was installed because of the oil spill.
