Syria permits UN chemical inspectors

The Syrian government has permitted UN experts to inspect usage of chemical weapons in the republic, Interfax cites spokesman of the UN secretary general Martin Nesirky.

The inspectors headed by Swedish Professor Ake Sellstrom will inspect Syria for 14 days.
