Iran detains Indian oil tanker

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps detained Indian oil tanker MT Desh Shanti with Iraqi oil in the Gulf and taken to Bandar Abbas, ITAR-TASS reports.

Iran said that the tanker was polluting Iranian territorial waters.

Iraq became the second largest oil supplier of India after Saudi Arabia. India refuses to reduce imports of oil from Iran, despite sanctions of the US and EU against the Islamic Republic.
