Beslan victims spend vacation in Croatia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaChildren who survived the Beslan massacre have just spent their vacation in Croatia. The idea was suggested by the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, the press service of the North Ossetian permanent representative's office in Moscow stated.
The Beslan school hostage crisis of early September 2004 lasted three days and involved the capture of over 1,100 people as hostages (including 777 children), ending with the deaths of over 380 people.
The crisis began when a group of armed Islamic separatist militants occupied School Number One in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia, on 1 September 2004.
