Balance and moderation are the main credo of Hassan Rouhani
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Director General of the Center for the Study of Modern Iran, Rajab Safarov, commented on the creation of the new government in Iran. None of the candidates selected by Rouhani are new figures in politics or the economy. Most of them have previously held posts in previous governments and are known for their moderate pragmatic views. All of them are experienced people who have the necessary knowledge, proven in the past, moral and religious people. Rouhani, however, has not selected open reformists for the cabinet, so as not to run into resistance from the conservative majority in the Majlis. The new government has already announced its readiness for serious negotiations on the nuclear program. The new Iranian authorities intend to reform the foreign policy that was carried out during Ahmadinejad's presidency, which caused strained relations between Iran and the United States, worsened relations with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, and, as a result of economic sanctions imposed on the country because of its nuclear program, the country is in difficult socio-economic situation.
