Iranian military to open science mission in Antarctica

Iranian Vice Admiral Gholamreza Hadem Bigam, Commander of the Iranian Naval Forces, said that Iran was planning to open a science mission in Antarctica, ITAR-TASS reports.

The Oceanographic Institute of Iran is planning science expeditions to the South Pole. The institute will be granted own science ships for research.
