Akhmat Tower to be built in Grozny
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArchitekton Chief Architect Alexander Zusik (Moscow) and Chief Designer Vladimir Travush have presented the a project of the Grozny-City-2 complex in Grozny with the Akhmat Tower as its highlight, the Chechen government reports.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov attended the presentation.
The complex will cover 19 hectares. The Akhmat Tower will have 80 floors and a height of 400m. A museum of Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov, first Chechen President and Hero of Russia, 100 apartments, hotel with 500 rooms, restaurants, offices, helicopter landing platforms, fitness centers and swimming pools will be built at the complex. A big swimming pool will be built over the River Sunji.
The lower part of the tower will have 50-m high halls with four entrances to the hotel. A 600-m long gallery will be built.
The complex will provide up to 10,000 jobs.
The building will be constructed at a 10-point seismological area. The 145-m Phoenix complex of Grozny-City was built in the same zone. The construction should take 3 years. The Central Institute for Constructions, Research Institute of Fundaments and the Institute for Armored Concrete will take part in designing the complex.
