Russian community of Azerbaijan supports Ilham Aliyev

The Russian community in Azerbaijan has expressed support for President Ilham Aliyev in the upcoming presidential elections.

"On the eve of the presidential elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan, we, on behalf of the Russian people, express unanimous support for the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev as the only worthy candidate for the presidency, whom, as we did before, we are ready to fully entrust with our fate and the fate of our children," Interfax-Azerbaijan quotes the statement of the community.

The document notes that Azerbaijani citizens of Russian nationality are full citizens living and working in a democratic, sovereign, economically-successful developing country, "the strategy of the development of which was defined by the national leader, Heydar Aliyev."
