Royal Navy may US fleet in Mediterranean Sea

The Royal Navy of the UK may join the US fleet in the Mediterranean Sea, should a military operation against Syria start, Telegraph reports.

The operation may consist of cruise missile attacks on Syrian facilities. Use of chemical weapons against the peaceful population may become the motive for such operation. The fleet may receive the order next week.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague said that the UK, US and their allies would not allow Damascus to use chemical weapons against the Syrian population without a punishment.

The situation in Syria aggravated after a chemical attack at Damascus on Wednesday.
