Police squad fired at in central Makhachkala

A police unit has been fired at in the center of Makhachkala, a representative of the law enforcement office of Dagestan said.

"At the corner of Lenin and Yaraksky Streets, unidentified persons fired at a police detail. A staff member has been delivered to the Republican hospital," RIA Novosti quotes the representative.

After that, the criminals left in a Lada Priora car.

The information about the incident has been confirmed by the republic's Interior Ministry.
