US ready to act in Syria, Secretary of Defense says

The United States is ready to respond to the ongoing violence in Syria following the recent chemical attacks near Damascus, US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel is quoted as saying by media.

The official underlines however that the US administration will act only after it receives decisive evidence that the attack was launched by the Syrian government.
