Russia evacuates its citizens in Syria

Russia has evacuated its citizens living in Syria, the spokesperson for the Russian Emergency Ministry, Irina Rossius, says.

The ministry's plane with 89 people on board left the Syrian city of Latakia today. 75 of them were Russian citizens, mainly women and children. The plane is expected to land in Moscow's Domodedovo airport at 10.30 p. m. Moscow time.
