Tourism should be part of patriotic upbringing - expert

Yevgeny Pisarevsky, deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, said that the resorts of the North Caucasus should become an alternative to foreign summer and winter resorts.

He proposed development of resorts in the Azov Sea, Caspian Sea and highlands. The Krasnodar Territory has about 15 million tourists a year.

Pisarevsky noted that the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi was a boost to tourism in the North Caucasus. Russia needs diversification of tourism. F-1 races are an example of randomization of recreation.

The purpose program for development of national tourism affects Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan and Chechnya. The program will open new workplaces. Pisarevsky recommended the government to add patriotic upbringing to the framework of tourism.
