Minaret in Georgia’s Chela to be restored

The Georgian Ministry for Finances will restore the minaret demolished in Chela (Adigeni District, Georgia), News Georgia cites Nodar Paksadze, spokesman of the financial section of the Georgian Muslim Administration.

Adjara Prime Minister Archil Khabadze met 5,000-6,000 Muslims yesterday and said that the minaret will be back at 7.00 pm the following day.

The minaret was taken down on Monday, provoking protests of the Muslim population.
